TOURING EXHIBITION GROUP

MARKETPLACE 2001

The TEG Marketplace this year was hosted by Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery in Carlisle on St. Andrew's Day, 30th November.   The Marketplace's aim is to provide time and a suitable environment for people to make contacts, promote exhibitions, find out what other organisations have to offer and exchange ideas.

Panelock Systems were delighted, for the third year running,  to be the sponsors of the event.  Gallery Display System 200 was used to provide display space for the use of the standholders.  Tullie House already have Panelock Gallery Display System 400 which was in use in their temporary exhibition gallery displaying a major touring exhibition of work by Winifred Nicholson.  Delegates were therefore able to view both display systems in situ.

As in previous years, the day commenced with an informal marketplace session with delegates free to circulate to renew old friendships and acquaint themselves with new touring exhibitions.  Following a delicious lunch the afternoon session comprised various seminar/discussion periods and also afforded the opportunity for a tour of the Tullie House galleries including its stunning underground Millennium Gallery.

Our thanks go to Mick North and his team of stalwart helpers for their invaluable assistance and hospitality.
